I’m more selective about what style of music I provide, though. I´m actually specialized in epic cinematic orchestral / hybrid electronic kind of music. So if your project does NOT fit into one the following categories I’m probably not the right man for your music. I’m doing: Sci-Fi, Action, Drama, Suspense, Adventure, Dark, Romantic, Sentimental.

Do you need a quote?
I´m getting emails quite frequently where people ask me: What does a song cost? You can imagine that this heavily depends on a lot of factors! So here is a short list of what I need to know if you want a quote from me for a price:

• Very important: Do you need the music on an exclusive or non-exclusive level? (i.e. may I offer it to someone else, too?)
• Short song description, mood/feeling, speed
• length (approximately)
• Do you need your music seamlessly looping?
• Always nice and helpful: Reference songs (If you have a link (youtube or something freely available (legally!) for a song that is similar to what you´d like to have) – it´s always nice to get a direct impression of what kind of song the client wants. Of course I’m always there to make suggestions if you don’t have any idea about what kind of music would fit your project!
• Just try to give me as much information about the project as you can – e.g. if it´s a game: screenshots, demo versions, game play videos, even raw concept drawings are always helpful to get into the “mood” for the music the project needs.
• If you have a certain budget – don’t hesitate to name it and I’ll see if I can do something for you on that budget!

(Update:) This movie from 1984 “Electric Dreams” was actually the reason I wanted to play the Cello since childhood. I guess I watched this movie about 1985 and immediately fell in love with the Cello (and Virginia Madsen – doesn´t she look ultra cute in this film?!) Unfortunately this gem still isn´t available on DVD or blu ray in German (it had an awesome German dubbing featuring “Stefan Remmler” as “Edgar” the computer voice)

As a good Cello is quite expensive I decided to go with a rented instrument for the time being. So I just went to the violin maker today and rented a decent instrument (one of the “better” beginner instruments available). I have never even touched a Cello before and it´s really damn’ haaaaaard to play it without any instructions

Gonna have lessons in the beginning of 2012. Looking for a good teacher at the moment.

I guess playing a “real” string instrument will make my way of using sample based libraries in my music much more efficient and I will understand all those different articulations much better and learn when to use them correctly…

“Pet Crazy” is a new web dramedy about an entrepreneur named Peter who lives in Los Angeles and is referred to by the media as an “Animal Hitman.” His talent to eliminate and dispose of problematic creatures of all sizes is rivaled only by his ability to maintain anonymity in the most high profile city in the world. With the help of his business partner and long time friend, Emma, Peter runs a telephone service called Pet Crazy. They lend a compassionate ear to people that have been troubled in some way by other people’s pets. These are the people that need a sympathetic ear to listen, and can return to their normal lives after blowing off a little steam. However, if you listen very carefully, amongst these callers you’ll find the people that really need us; the people for whom Pet Crazy was created. The woman whose child was mauled by a vicious animal; the husband whose wife is destroying their marriage to save a terminal pet. It is for these pained souls that Pet Crazy exists. For these select cases, we offer a very different type of solution.
